About

Welcome to my blog – I am glad you stopped by.

On my blog you will find a little bit of everything.  First you will find much information about my family, I am happily married (25 years) to a wonderful man that is also my best friend.  We have one son, beautiful daughter-in-law and 2 PERFECT grandchildren (little toot and Mr. B.)  We originally are from Salt Lake City, UT.  We moved to TX when I was offered a fabulous opportunity.   We have been in TX since 1996 and we now consider Texas our home!

For most of my life I had a proper job working for fabulous companies, but somewhere along the line my priorities changed and I “retired”.    I pursued my machine quilting “career” full-time, I had purchased my machine in 1999 and “retired” in 2002.   I am also a quilt educator teaching a variety of techniques and skills.   I am honored to be a certified instructor for Judy Niemeyer Quilts (see more http://www.quiltworx.com/instructors/denise-green/).  I primarily teach at http://www.pinwheelsandposies.com .  I also travel giving lectures and teaching workshops for Quilt Guilds and Quilt Shops.  I have been a member of http://www.lakeviewquiltersguild.org for over 15 years and if you are not in a guild; you need to join one and get involved!  I host a block swap bee and a longarm bee in our area.  I love TEACHING and SHARING what I have learned over the years.

I have a few other passions that I will blog about:  I am a junior genealogist, I enjoy working in my yard and I love to take pictures (maybe if I practice enough they will one day be considered photographs.

I hope you will leave comments when you like something and if there is something you just don’t agree with I hope you will be kind in your critique.  We can all learn from each other.

Denise: Just wanted to thank you for the curved leaf class in June at Pinwheels and Posies. It was so good to see you and take a class from you again. You are a treasure!
