Skating…..On Ice

This past weekend we enjoyed watching the grandkiddos at their newest sport.  Ice Skating.

This is a perfect sport for Houston, TX.  I would much rather have to don a winter coat to watch them in the summer than be sitting on the bleachers when it is 100+ and so humid it is almost raining!

They are both in their basic lessons, Mr. B in Basic 1 hoping to graduate to Hockey Basics and become the next Wayne Gretsky.

Yes you are CUTE!

Balance is the key!

Daddy also wanted to Wayne Gretsky when he grew up!

Little Toot is in Basic 2 and has been asked to compete in late June – YIKES!  They are both in rented skates and grandpa stepped up to the plate for Little Toot and she is now the proud owner of her very own ice-skates.  Coach Grant and Momma will be working out the music details and then Grandma and momma will work on the outfit.

She was just asked to compete - can you say "excited!"

Now really trying to get the moves down - she is just a little bit competitive I think...

What was your sport?  I was a swimmer – not a very fast swimmer – but a team swimmer!

Go be ACTIVE today!
